The Kasserine Pass - 1943
Fifteen months after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the American Armed Forces engaged in their first land battles against the Germans in Tunisia, Northern Africa.
At a rift in the Dorsal mountain range known as Kasserine Pass, the inexperienced U.S. ground troops would face Germany's elite Afrika Korps under the command of the legendary Field Marshall Erwin Rommel.
The Americans would lose many men at Kasserine Pass, and get their first taste of both defeat and victory on land.
